Shop update #405 (8-13-25) stuffed animal zoo update

Back in 2018 I learned about stuffed animal zoos.  My son was 8 years old and had a million stuffed animals.  I designed one built out of 2×4’s and built it that summer.  He loved it and promptly filled it up to overflowing.  Fast forward 7 years and he has now started his sophomore year in high school.  We recently cleaned everything out of his room and took it downstairs while he was at Boy Scout summer camp.  When he got back we had installed a new full sized bed and downsized him to a single 5 drawer dresser.  We also moved his desk from downstairs and into his room.  The stuffed animal zoo did not make the cut.

We had a yard sale this weekend and offered the zoo, full of stuffed animals, for a steal.  Sadly, nobody was interested in buying it so I took it into the shop the next night and broke it back down to it’s constituent parts.  It is officially the end of an era.
