Shop update #419 (11-19-25)

During the week, I stopped by my local craft store and picked up some metallic color changing acrylic paint to try out on my test boards for the art show.

I like the way that the clouds and the green turned out but the blue on the Dalek on the left looks too close to the color of the clouds.  I’m going to pick up some more colors and experiment some more on the other Daleks.

It has been raining for a few days now so we invited my nieces and nephews over to build some boats for rain gutter races.  I also 3D printed a few boats to use as backups.  Good times were had by all the kids and adults.

I also moved some stuff around to get my bandsaw accessible.  I’ve always drug it outside to use so this was a fundamental shift in my normal thinking.

On Sunday, my dishwasher died so I spent most of the day picking up a new one and installing it.

On a total side note, during the week I had the 3D printers working continuously to print out a holiday lamp post for my desk at work.  It took about 30 hours total and is 4′ tall.
