Shop update #426 (1-7-26)

My father helped me to assemble my new table saw a couple of weeks after I bought it.  We spent all day putting it together and at the end of it, he gave me a good quality blade to use in it.  I decided to use the stock blade for a while until I got used to the saw and then I would replace it with the good one.  I ended up using the stock blade for over a year and it still worked great for pine but not so good for hardwoods.  I finally decided to change it out but couldn’t find the 2 wrenches needed to take the old blade off.  I put them somewhere so safe that couldn’t find them.  I finally found one of them and used some scrap wood as a brace to take the old blade off.

I found the manual for the saw and discovered that there was only eve one wrench and that I had a push button lock for the arbor to use for removing and tightening the blade.  The install was much easier once I gleaned that information.

My son and I also sanded and stained the face frames for his new shelf unit.

I’m also working on more art pieces for the upcoming Dr Who Art Show and should have more to show in the coming weeks.
