Shop update #433 (2-25-26) Arrow Of Life Plaques
This week, I finished and delivered the 7 AOL plaques for Pack 241.
I let the paint dry for a couple of days and then sanded it off the backs and front using 60 grit and then 120 grit sandpaper.

Once they were smooth, I engraved the cub scout and BSA logos on a test board and then the final boards using my laser engraver. I gave them another quick sanding to eliminate any scorching left by the laser.

They then received a coat of stain, front and back.

I let the stain dry overnight and then built a small paint booth in the shop so I could give the plaques 2 coats of clear on the back and 3 coats on the front. It was really cold outside, mid 40’s, and the spray lacquer does not like the cold.

I let them dry for a couple of days and then gave them a light sand to smooth the finish, pre-drilled holes for the arrow hooks, ad then installed the hooks and claw tooth hangers.

The customer picked them up on Sunday and were very happy with the finished product.
