Shop update #341 (5-22-24) boho beach table
We spent Saturday morning working on an Eagle Scout Project for my sons’ Boy Scout Troop. That afternoon I stopped by Lowes and picked up 6 – 8 ft shiplap boards to build 2 boho beach tables for a friend.
I started by cutting the shiplap down into 23 1/2″ lengths.
I then cut down some leftover 1×2’s to build sub frames and legs for the tables. The tops of the tables will be 12″ off the ground.
I assembled the sub frames with pocket holes.
The sub frames were glued and screwed onto the bottom of the assembled ship lap boards.
My friend wants them stained and clear coated and chose gunstock for the color.
I’m going to let them dry overnight and then apply a coat of Spar urethane on Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday night. He is going to pick them up on Saturday.
