Shop update #464 (9-30-26)

A buddy of mine races motocross and they have a special 2×4 class which has something to do with a 4 stroke motor.  He asked me to build some trophies for the next race and we came up with a variation on the ring hook game.

I started by cutting down some 2×4’s, 2×2’s, and 1×2’s to size.

I then glued the 2×2’s to the 2×4’s.

While those were drying, I mounted the top 1×2 into the center riser.

The next step was to mount the center “T” into the 2×4 base and paint them.

He gave me some motorcycle spark plugs to use as game markers so I made a template and drilled out some 3/4″ holes in the 2×2.

I then installed the eyelets, rings, hooks, and string.

I laser etched some name plates and glued and nailed them on.  He was quite happy with the final result.
