Shop update #469 (11-4-26) Eagle Project prep

One of the scouts in my son’s Boy Scout Troop is working on his Eagle Project and needed help breaking down 6 sheets of 3/4″ plywood in preparation for the finished project.

We broke 2 of the sheets down into 4 – 96″ x 20″ boards, and 2 – 96″x 7.75″ boards.

The other 4 sheets were cut down the middle into 23 7/8″ strips and then those were broken down into 40 separate boards.

Each of those were then given a round over along the front edge on  both sides.  Once the roundovers were complete, they were then given a quick sanding with 120 along the roundovers and faces.

This took up most of Saturday with 1 scout and 5 adult leaders.  The boards will be installed in some existing shelving units at a local high school by the scouts in the troop in the near future.
