Shop update #459 (8-26-26)
The pressure switch on my 20 year old air compressor decided to find a new position for the on/off switch last weekend and would not shut off. I found a replacement on Amazon and it made it to my house in a couple of days.

I removed the top cover and started taking it apart.

I was able to get everything off except for the the 1/4″ male to male coupling in the front. Luckily, I was able to find one at Lowes.

I reassembled everything and ran some tests and the compressor did not shut off at 125 psi like it is supposed to. It got up to 140 psi and I manually shut it off. I am returning the pressure switch and the company is sending me out a new one. Hopefully, the new one will work better.

On a side note, I made a few leg lamp lanterns out of 1/8″ MDF a couple of years ago for a craft fair that never sold. I spray painted one black and hung it on the front of my house and it has been there ever since. Until earlier this week, that is. This is what I came home to on Monday night. It fell off a cliff and died on impact.
