Shop update #462 (9-16-26)
The new drive belt for my bandsaw came in last week but then I discovered that I needed to remove a snap ring so I ordered some snap ring pliers so that I could do it right.

I opened the bandsaw doors and untensioned the blade and moved it to the side. I then removed the snap ring and the drive wheel.

I had to loosen the motor to install the new belt and tension it.

You can see how worn out the old belt was.

I then tensioned it and tightened the motor back into place, installed the snap ring, retensioned the blade, and tested it out.

I have had my mini split installed in the shop for a little over a year and it popped up a message that the filter needed to be cleaned. I had to find the instruction manual and figure out how to pull them out to clean them. The one on the left has been cleaned and the one on the right has not. They both got cleaned out. They weren’t too bad but I’m glad that it’s been done and should be good for another year.

I started working on more name plates for my son’s boy scout troop. I got them cut down to size, laser engraved, holes drilled for the hooks and eyes, and sanded. Next is finish and then installing the hooks and eyes.
