Shop update #111 (12-11-19)

We had a lot of family stuff going on this weekend but I was still able to get some work done on a few projects.

I’ve been working on a design for a wooden US Flag for a while and finally got the chance to carve it out on Friday night.  The stars were cut out with a 60° vBit and the stripes were carved with a 1/8″ straight bit.  I’m not sure how I am going to paint or stain it yet.

I’m working on a Business Card holder and the customer wants it made out of poplar so I cut some 5 1/2″ wide by 3/4″ thick poplar into 8″ lengths and glued them together.

I had also planned on spraying some Spar Urethane on to the Reindeer Crate but it rained all weekend so I took it back apart and brushed some on instead.  It has a total of 3 coats so far.
