Shop update #122 (2-26-20)

During the week, I got the Wood Badge plaques sanded and stained.  This was a rush job so I didn’t get to spend as much time on the finishing as I normally would but they turned out OK.

Most of Saturday was spent at a birthday party for my younger son’s classmate and then we had Scout events Sunday morning and Sunday evening.  I managed to put a third coat of amber shellac on the top of the tabletop and a single coat on the bottom to seal it.  Once that all dried a reinstalled the stretchers and corner block.  I am hoping to get the legs cut down to size, sanded, and painted this weekend and hopefully install in the table.

I also picked up a couple of mouse traps to try making a project idea that I found out on the interwebs.

I’m also playing around with the idea of building a knockdown/portable TARDIS so I have been working on an idea in sketchup.
