Shop update #218 (12-29-21) (updated)

For Christmas, my family does a white Elephant style gift exchange where you steal the presents but we buy new gifts and don’t re-gift old crappy presents.  For this year’s exchange I bought a Santa Bag full of specialty popcorns.

I built a Christmas themed shipping crate to hold the bag.

I gave the crate a coat of amber shellac, sanded it back, put the bag in the crate, and nailed it shut.

I then put the crate in a box and wrapped it up.

The box was a big hit at the party and was the first present to be stolen three times and locked.  The winner got a small crowbar to open the crate and find the bag inside.

I used my new xTool D1 laser engraver to make all of the shipping labels.
