Shop update #244 (6-29-22)

It was over 100° both days this weekend so I got very little actual woodworking accomplished.

I am wanting to make a box but I have limited time outside because of the heat so I designed one to be cut on my CNC machine.

I went out at the end of the day and cut up a couple of cedar fence pickets in 15″ lengths.

I put one of them on the CNC and carved out the front piece for the box that I designed.  I screwed up somewhere in the design and it didn’t cut it out correctly.  It cut out the rebates on the front but not all the way around the edges.

The next day I tried using a box generator website and made some test cuts in some cardboard using my laser cutter.  I may try this direction instead.
