Shop update #316 (11-22-23)
The garage to shop conversion is slowly moving forward. I had some issue locating the joists in the ceiling but have now successfully located the first one and determined that they are 24″ on center. This translates into the shelves about the garage door being about 21″ deep instead of the 23″ that I originally planned for. This is not a problem as these shelves will be holding my camping gear which is odd shapes and pretty lightweight.
A friend ordered some plaques to thank the sponsors of his monthly cruise night so I worked on them during the week and most of the morning on Saturday. These were inspired by the ones made by Wesley Treat on YouTube.
On Sunday, I was able to clear some of the clutter away from the left side of the garage and mount my first set of 23″ shelves on that side.
