Shop update #339 (5-8-24)
During the week, I did a stain test to see what color I prefered for this project.
Red Mahogany won so I gave the inside of the condo a good coat and then a good wipe down 5 to 10 minutes later.
Once the stain dried, I added a strip of masking tape along the edges where the sides meet the front and back to leave an area that will accept glue. I then gave it 2 coats of a water based polyurethane.
I let the polyurethane dry overnight. The next day, I glued and brad nailed the 2 sides to the back of the condo. The next step was to measure and cut the shelves to go inside.
The shelves then received a coat of stain and 2 coats of polyurethane.
