Shop update #5 (12-13-17)
I finally got the video edited and posted on Friday for the Simple & Sturdy workbench made out of 2×4’s. You can watch it here.
I had planned on putting some finish on the Outdoor Bar that I built at my cousin’s house but his schedule changed so we were unable to meet up. He has a couple of mornings off this week and is planning to put some paint on the front and sides so I will post a picture of it when he sends them over. He lives a little over an hour away so it’s not practical to just pop over and take pics.
I posted this video on my social media accounts as a teaser for the new workbench.
I’m not sure how successful it was in getting people to come to this website or to YouTube to watch it though. Please leave a comment below if you think it was a good idea (or not) to make it in this style or if you followed the link to watch the video.
I promised my younger son that I would make him a desk to go beneath his loft bed. I have been working on a design that will hang off the slats on the bottom and sides of the loft bed. The idea is that he can move it to different parts of the bed (The back or sides). This is what I have come up with so far. I plan on making the prototype this weekend and then letting him paint it whatever color he wants.
I currently have it designed at 24″ wide and 18″ deep. I will need to mock up some cardboard and place it under the bed with him to see if that will be big enough for him.
