Shop update #88 (7-3-19)
On Friday I received a copyright strike from YouTube for the music on the “Building a Loft bed with my son” video. I submitted a dispute claim but did not want to lose the potential revenue so I remastered it with some licensed music from EpidemicSounds.com on Saturday morning. I then rendered it and uploaded the new version to YouTube on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday night we went to our local Picnic in the Park celebration and ate lots of junk food, played games, rode rides, and watched fireworks.
It was close to 100 degrees on Sunday so I hung out with the family for most of the day.
Mid afternoon I broke out my other 24″ square piece of 1/4″ particle board and shot video of spray painting it black. I’m going to use that footage for the beginning of the John Wick video as I didn’t shoot any video of painting the original piece.
Do you remember the octagon shaped washer toss games that I started last year? Once it cooled down to about 85 degrees I broke those out and worked on a method to get them to hold together in the proper shape using pocket screws.
I received an email on Tuesday morning letting me know that the copyright strike for the loft bed video had been removed. I’ve never received one that quickly.
