Shop update #270 (12-28-22)

For this year’s family Christmas Gift exchange, I used my laser engraver/cutter to make a keepsake box and slate coasters based on my favorite Christmas movie, Die Hard.

Before tackling the big boxes I made a smaller jewelry box as a test.

I cut a couple of 24″ x 24″ squares of 1/8″ MDF down to size to fit on the honeycomb for my xtool D1 laser.

I cut the boxes out on the laser and assembled them with some CA glue.  I also engraved 4 slate coasters that went in the smaller box with a sliding lid.
